Can't you just see Don Draper under one of these lamps?

A collaboration between myself and a lighting supplier - Sommerlight - make for a good combination when the result is a
new line of lighting products. The line of lamps is to do Nature. The
collection comprises lamp bases (table and floor), wall sconces, and hanging
lamps – all with wood – and Claire de Lune ® Barrels, in the original size, and
now, a new size - mini Barrel. The collection was inspired by waste
products I found in a wood workshop. Together with the wooden parts that Sommerlight has
carried for over 50 years – true retro/vintage - we have built a "new"collection around wood! New, modern textile cords have been
added for that touch of luxury and color.
The lampshades are available in 13 different motifs and are supplied flat pack. The wooden parts featured are in various
finishes. And yes, many of the first batch are from Don Draper's time! So you better get yours now, if you want the original stuff.

Simple and beautiful, these lampshades are easy to
assemble, and fit beautifully with the lamp bases designed for Sommerlight. The
motifs are graphic, modern and at the same time classic and timeless.

 The
original sized Barrels can be used as a pendel shade, or on a standing base – (floor
or table). The designs allows for both possibilities, as does placement of the
diffuser.

 Fun, functional and funky
- FUNKTIONAL!!!! Fabulous! Light with attitude!

The motivating force is to illuminate the simple
things. To enjoy life and help others do
the same.” Barrels alone (to fit over your own lamp base or stand) are available from Accent . Contact Sommerlight to find the nearest retailer of lamps - and shades :-). Signing off:

It was five tiring, but exciting days. The weather was great! Maybe too good. Many exhibitors thought that many of our customers were either at the beach, in their summer houses, or just under some tree relaxing, since they weren't at our show. We certainly enjoyed the fine weather. Here is a picture of our stand. I had a wonderful partner that I shared a booth space with. Dorte of Salamat Interiors. Her eye for picking combinations of colors and textiles is impeccable. She has just opened a store in Vanløse - I am sure you wont be disappointed by visiting. She has limited opening hours, so be sure to check the website, or call. Here you can glimpse a selection of her wonderful cushions. You will also not be able to resist these wonderul tumblers of brass. So beautiful. I couldn't resist a pair of earrings from my neighbor stand holder - Pia Andersen. Pia makes wonderful unika earrings from vintage beads and findings from around the world. I fell for a pair that remind me so much of " I dream of Jeannie " (a TV series from the 60's/70's). I look forward to wearing them again. (Wow! at looking at this again, the booth, and the cups look like they come from that movie set. :-)

I had to share this because she is wearing Clairely jewellery on her arms, on her fingers. And to boot, fabulous music. I had the good fortune to meet her two years ago, and enjoy her music. Enjoy.

 Red is for
Christmas, red is for Valentine’s day, red is for passion, and just because........

Claire de Lune ® Chandelier – red. My Claire de Lune Chandelier was originally done in red for ICFF
 in New York,
as a tribute to the BIG APPLE. It was
done in the larger size and quite spectacular it was! Photos: David Rivett Here against my wallpaper.

The red Chandelier is now available in a size that doesn’t require a
smaller mansion to hang it in.

  My design and production
methods reflect a deep, long-time, personal commitment to the environment and
the reduction of waste material. All left-over pieces of material from the
production of lamps and mirrors are reused for jewellery. The Claire de Lune
Chandeliers are flat-pack to minimize carbon footprint, and eco-friendly
packing materials are used where possible.

Sweet stuff. Just like these earrings. Cupcakes. Doesn't get sweeter than this. [Photo: David Rivett] .. and the sparkly? Well the "gems" beside those cupcakes, are from my Diamonds collection. Ice? well, here is ice for the outside of your body. it’s time to show some skin with great pieces that are transparent, shine, reflect light and look cool – just like ice. Elegant, sophisticated, and funky, CLAIRELY upcycled jewellery is made from clear, mirror, and some colored acrylic. It conjures associations of frozen lakes, chunks of ice, prisms reflecting light and rough-cut diamonds (especially so with the collection DIAMONDS). Perfect for both work, and a little black dress! All the pieces are hand finished, and the ear wires are sterling silver and hand-shaped, so no two pairs are alike. As always this new collection of jewellery came from a deep, longtime, personal commitment to the environment, and the reduction of waste material. All pieces are created from leftover pieces of material from the production of lamps and mirrors (from the Claire de Lune lighting products). FUN FUNKY FUNCTIONAL = FUNKTIONAL!
